Salt has become an "Alice In Wonderland", but all the changes combined with the construction of Oslo's new fire station on the other side of the road, have made it challenging to create a functioning finisher area. Therefore, we move to Vippa, which is an arena in the same green and cultural spirit as Salt. In other words, it feels very right for our identity.
In practical terms, this means that the finish line will be 600 meters before our previous finish area. In order for the distances not to be shorter, the trail will be adjusted. New maps and gpx files to be posted when all permission from landowners has been granted.
Vippa is a food court situated on the edge of the Oslo fjord. Vippa´s facilities – formerly used to store goods from all over the world – now act as the hub for 11 food stands, offering sustainable and diverse food to Oslo’s bustling foodscape. Since opening in April 2017, focus has been to create an ethical and multicultural environment for both the people operating the food stands, and the guests visiting them.
Vippa works closely with sustainable, local farms, and cooperates with projects such as Losæther to help recycle our food waste.
Vippa believes food is a tool for bringing people together, and they work actively to create a diverse and exciting place - both for the people working there and guests.
We are looking forward to the move – and to see you totally exhusted at the finish line at Vippa!
